Belarus, Russia’s Rosatom discuss digitalization in non-energy projects

MINSK, 29 August (BelTA) – The second meeting of the joint Belarusian-Russian interagency working group on cooperation in digitalization and telecommunications took place at the Belarusian Communications and Informatization Ministry, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Communications and Informatization Ministry.

The Belarusian delegation was led by Communications and Informatization Minister Kirill Zalessky and the Russian one was led by Rosatom IT Director Yevgeny Abakumov.

The parties thoroughly reviewed the progress in implementing the agreements reached during the first meeting in Minsk in March 2025 and the fulfillment of digitalization and telecommunication technology measures of the comprehensive program of Russian-Belarusian cooperation in atomic non-energy and non-atomic projects. Special attention was paid to the work to jointly develop and implement projects of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. A protocol was prepared following the meeting.

Kirill Zalessky also congratulated the Russian colleagues, the management and personnel of Rosatom on the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the nuclear industry and noted that the industry had come a long way. He stressed that the Rosatom State Corporation is now an advanced innovative company not only in the nuclear sphere but also in many other relevant development areas of the world economy.
