MOSCOW, 20 January (BelTA) - Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik and Governor of Russia's Irkutsk Oblast Igor Kobzev held a meeting to discuss a number of new promising bilateral projects in Moscow on 20 January, BelTA has learned.
“Today we have discussed a number of matters: supplies of dump trucks, food products, construction of landmark sports facilities. We also touched upon the modernization of the tram fleet in Irkutsk Oblast. We agreed that in late February, a Belarusian delegation led by me will visit Irkutsk to discuss this matter,” Ambassador Aleksandr Rogozhnik stated.
The parties touched upon agricultural cooperation, including greenhouse vegetable growing. The meeting also discussed humanitarian cooperation: youth agenda, educational projects and the participation of MAZ-SPORTavto team in the Silk Road Rally this summer.
“Among other things, we discussed the upcoming visit of the governor to Belarus and his visits to leading Belarusian enterprises, especially those involved in aircraft manufacturing,” the ambassador added.
