MINSK, 10 March (BelTA) - A working meeting has been held between the leadership of the State Border Committee of Belarus and the Border Service of the Federal Security Service of Russia to discuss topical issues of cooperation, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.
Representatives of the agencies coordinated the main areas of cooperation within the Union State to ensure security on the outer border. They also discussed issues related to the entry of the Union State by persons from third countries under the conditions of mutual recognition of visas.
The parties exchanged the best practices in operational and service activities of border departments, discussed the situation at the border and its development trends, the implementation of joint projects, the issues affecting border security, and counteraction to challenges, including the external ones.
