SHANGHAI, 5 November (BelTA) – Belarus is showcasing its national traditions at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE 2025), launched in Shanghai on 5 November, BelTA has learned.
A rich and varied cultural program will accompany the Belarusian national exposition. While the exposition began on 5 November, its official opening ceremony is set to take place on 6 November. According to the organizers, the design of the national and industry pavilions this year further explores the theme of showcasing the country’s social and cultural heritage to visitors.
Visitors to the Belarusian pavilions were captivated by the art of straw weaving, a national treasure and a key art form of traditional culture. Throughout the event, attendees can participate in workshops on creating straw wreaths, beads, bracelets, and decorative items.
The Belarusian Khoroshki ensemble provided a spectacle of bright and unforgettable emotions with its performance. Led by People’s Artist of Belarus Valentina Gayevaya, the ensemble speaks a powerful language of dance that transcends borders and time, connecting with people from all walks of life. Through this art, they skillfully unveil the layers of unique Belarusian identity, introducing the audience to Belarusian traditions and culture.
The Belarusian songs attract guests from all corners of the international expo. This large-scale forum has established itself as the most effective platform for promoting Belarusian exports to China.
Despite having opened just recently (the exhibition runs until 10 November), the Belarusian national exposition proved to be an instant hit, quickly becoming one of the most popular spots for visitors and participants alike.
