MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) - Elements of artificial intelligence may be introduced in Belarus to help address public appeals, Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi said the meeting of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko with the leadership of the Belarus President Administration on 12 June, BelTA informs.
According to the head of the Belarus President Administration, a unified national automated system of accounting and processing appeals of citizens and legal entities was introduced in January 2023. A one information product has been developed. Over these past two and a half years, a total of 450,000 appeals have been submitted to all bodies and organizations. This is about 200,000 appeals per year.
“Today we are working on the system, finalizing it. Especially the mechanism of reporting data and appeals’ analysis. We may follow the example of China and introduce algorithms and elements of artificial intelligence in the near future,” the head of the Belarus President Administration said.

Dmitry Krutoi stated that in general the number of appeals submitted to the Belarus President Administration had reduced. “This is a key indicator for us. Ideally, no such appeals should be submitted to the Administration [such issues should be solved locally]. Today there are 18,000-20,000 of them a year. That is about 10% of the total number of appeals submitted to all government bodies,” he said.
The housing and utilities sector accounts for the biggest number of appeals - 20% of the total addressed to the president. Healthcare and land disputes account for 5% each.
According to Dmitry Krutoi, in the Year of Improvement every effort should be made to reverse the situation with such a large number of appeals related to the operation of the housing and utilities system. People’s participation in the matter is important, especially in what concerns tidying up and landscaping the courtyards. Local councils should play a more active role in this work.
