MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) – Riga is hosting a working meeting of representatives of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Latvia on arms control issues on 15-17 February, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry.
The meeting participants are set to consider the status of implementation of the agreement between Belarus and Latvia on additional confidence- and security- building measures of 5 March 2004.
The parties are set to discuss the proposals aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the additional confidence and security measures and to look into the issues of bilateral cooperation in arms control.
