MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) – Another unmanned aerial vehicle has been forced to land at the Belarusian-Ukrainian border, the State Border Committee of Belarus told BelTA.
According to the source, on 1 December Belarusian border service personnel and army personnel detected a quadcopter flying over the border checkpoint Mokrany (Domanovo on the Ukrainian side) some 1,200 meters from the state border at an altitude of about 300 meters.
The drone was flying from Ukraine into Belarusian territory. Radio warfare weapons were used to make the drone land. The drone had no identification marks and carried an in-built video camera for the sake of reconnoitering Belarusian territory near the border.
An investigation has been opened.
