MINSK, 16 June (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kenya Pavel Vzyatkin participated in ringo sports events as an honored guest as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral humanitarian cooperation, the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Kenya told BelTA.

The Kenya Ringo Sports Association organized the competition at Potterhouse School in Nairobi. During the award ceremony, Ambassador Pavel Vzyatkin emphasized that sports diplomacy remains a powerful tool to foster ties between Belarus and Kenya. He noted that Belarus-Kenya sports cooperation has been gaining momentum in recent years.

In April 2025, a Kenyan ringo team visited Baranovichi Secondary School No. 12, where they played a friendly match with local Belarusian athletes. Ringo is a sport played with one or two rings, where two players or teams compete on a court divided by a net.

The ambassador also gave an interview to Kenya’s KBC news channel.

Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Kenya were established on 17 November 1993.
