MINSK, 19 December (BelTA) – The partnership between Belarus and China reached a new level in 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan told BelTA.
The diplomat emphasized that China is still the second largest trading partner of Belarus. The two countries also develop trade, economic and investment cooperation at a high level.
“During a visit of Premier of the State Council of China Li Qiang to Minsk, China and Belarus issued a joint intergovernmental communique and signed over 20 documents on cooperation, including the agreement on trade in services and on making investments,” Ambassador Zhang Wenchuan stated.
He went on saying: “Our countries have many examples of the key cooperation projects that are moving forward steadily. In particular, the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone works effectively. The countries launched the Year of Cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation and successfully opened a swimming pool, which is compliant with international standards. Our project to build the National Football Stadium is on the home stretch.”
The diplomat pointed out that the number of friendly provinces and oblasts as well as twinned cities between China and Belarus had exceeded 50 pairs.
