MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, speaking about the possible fate of Europe in case of successful negotiations between Russia and the USA, has made a message for the West, Colonel Andrei Bogodel, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Education and Science - Head of the Education and Methodology Department of the Faculty of the General Staff of the Armed Forces at the Military Academy of Belarus, said in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel as he commented the latest talks between the presidents of Belarus and Russia in Moscow.
“As our president said, Belarus’ Belarus [in the negotiations on Ukraine] must be respected. After the talks, a question was asked whether the interests of Belarus would be respected. Look how smartly Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin played it off - he pretended that he didn't understand. He showed that it went without saying, and once again emphasized it. I think everyone noticed how professionally he presented the matter,” Andrei Bogodel said.
The expert also drew attention to the statement by Aleksandr Lukashenko, who expressed the opinion that the USA had no plan for Ukraine. “This suggests that there are nuances that Russia feels uncomfortable to mention. Aleksandr Lukashenko, however, is a straightforward person. He said that if Russia and the USA strike a deal, it will be a disaster for Europe and Ukraine. This was a message made by [Russia's] closest ally. This message was made for the West in the light of the upcoming negotiations, during which Europe is trying to turn right and left in every possible way,” Andrei Bogodel emphasized.
