Lukashenko warns officials against formalism, negligence

MINSK, 5 January (BelTA) – There should be no formalism or negligence in work, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko told the participants of the government meeting held on 5 January to discuss the main areas of work to improve quality in 2024 and also decide on the Quality Mark of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA has learned.

“I said during yesterday’s personnel appointments that this year would be a special one for us. It is clear that tensions will run high: both the East and the West are gearing up for the presidential election in Belarus. Their goals are different. You are well aware of the situation. What we must do is to surpass ourselves. For this, there should be no formalism or negligence. With all the positive things we have and that cannot be taken away from us, we should rule out negligence and formalism. There will be neither of them, I promise. Therefore, be ready to work hard from the first days of this year,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
