MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is set to meet with MPs of the House of Representatives and members of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus on the seventh convocation on 21 March, BelTA has learned.
The head of state gave the instruction to arrange his traditional meeting with outgoing MPs at the meeting on 1 March 2024. “We must thank and reward those who deserve it,” the head of state remarked. “The rewards should be generous, but selective. Just like we usually do: we need to reward those who worked hard. Many MPs were involved in the work on the Constitution.”
Giving his take on the parliament that is completing its work, Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “The parliament was more solid and conscientious than ever, it didn’t create problems for anyone, it worked as it was supposed to. Therefore, those MPs who deserve it should be rewarded,” Aleksandr Lukashenko added.
