MINSK, 3 January (BelTA) – Taking the money earned in the country outside its borders is inadmissible, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed as he spoke at a meeting with his authorized representatives in Minsk on 3 January, BelTA has learned.
The head of state emphasized the need to strictly observe the principle of fairness and equality in pricing. The main approaches to pricing in Belarus are well-known. They have been repeatedly explained in public, so the responsible officials, as well as other stakeholders know what to do. “This issue should be solved. It should be solved in terms of fairness and equality,” the head of state said. “The trade or those who invest less in a particular product cannot make huge money of it and take it abroad.”
According to the president, the issue of withdrawal of funds outside the country will be addressed in the near future. This topic has already been discussed at the level of the head of state, and, as the responsible officials reported, there were no particular problems. If there are any such precedents, the amounts are quite insignificant.
“The money earned in Belarus should work for Belarus. It is our people's money, earned by their labor,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized. According to him, the topic needs to be revisited in the first half of the year.
