MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) – Ukraine needs a president, whose moral and business qualities will resemble those of Josef Stalin, if the country wants to be restored. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement while talking to reporters in Minsk on 26 January, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko is convinced that the West is definitely not interested in the restoration and development of Ukraine for the benefit of the country’s nation. “The country has been ruined. The people are on their knees. I don’t know how they will get out of the situation without us, without Russia. Everyone will forget about them soon. Nobody is going to invest in Ukraine for the sake of the Ukrainian nation. Yes, transnational corporations will pick up some deposits, some profitable chunks of the economy. Naturally, Americans or Europeans will support them. But only Russia will be able to help rebuild the country,” he said.
The president stressed that the Ukrainian nation will have to do most of the work, about 75% of it. “And it is necessary to get this nation mobilized. Instead of lining their pockets as they did during the war. They stole and withdrew funds or bought some properties in the French Riviera. They need a person like Stalin: boots on, one shirt, one greatcoat and off you go. This is why it will be necessary to get mobilized. Ukraine’s [future] will depend on it,” Aleksandr Lukashenko is convinced. “The Ukrainian nation should become untied for real and elect its own president. Who will wear the same pair of boots… Well, it doesn’t have to be one pair. There may be two pairs, two greatcoats. And start restoring the country. And come to terms primarily with neighbors.”
The head of state is convinced that a difficult fate awaits the Ukrainian nation if the people do not make up their minds about their leader and the authorities and do not understand that they have to restore the country on their own.
