MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Samia Suluhu Hassan on assuming the office of the president of the United Republic of Tanzania, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
The congratulatory message reads: “The slogan of your election campaign ‘Labor and dignity’, its focus on diversifying the economy, on modernizing the manufacturing sector and agriculture have elicited a response from the hearts of Tanzanians.”
The president confirmed Belarus’ interest in bolstering ties with Dodoma. The first ever visit in the history of bilateral relations of the Tanzanian head of government to Minsk in July 2025 gave an impulse for that. “Our countries have a significant potential for stepping up the political dialogue and for intensifying cooperation in trade, economy, science, technology, humanitarian affairs, and other spheres,” the head of state noted. “Minsk is ready to assist with the implementation of programs on economic and technological development of Tanzania and is ready to suggest the Belarusian experience of successful realization of projects designed to mechanize agriculture and ensure food security on the African continent.”
The head of state said he was confident that Samia Suluhu Hassan’s work in this responsible political office will contribute to the expansion of all-round Belarusian-Tanzanian relations. Aleksandr Lukashenko wished his counterpart good health, happiness, and for all her plans and endeavors to come true.
