MINSK, 14 September (BelTA) – There is a candidate for the post of the head of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with former head of the federation Dmitry Baskov, who was appointed a member of the Council of the Republic on the president's quota on 14 September, BelTA has learned.
“We have a candidate for the post of the head of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation. You met with the person yesterday. I think he will agree. He is a very experienced, intelligent man. We will need to help him,” the head of state said.
“He is a great athlete, but not a hockey player. He is a good manager. If he agrees, we will need to help him,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
