MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) - Belarusian delegation headed by State Secretary of the Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich is visiting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, BelTA has learned.

By order of the head of state, alongside strengthening cooperation between the two countries in security, special attention has also been given to Belarus-Vietnam economic cooperation during the visit.

According to Aleksandr Volfovich, security cooperation has become a true driver of Belarus-Vietnam relations, including in trade and economy. Mutual trade between Belarus and Vietnam is increasing: in 2024 it reached nearly $245 million, with growth trends continuing. Belarusian rescue equipment has received positive feedback in Vietnam.

As it was reported by the State Secretariat of the Security Council, the delegation visited a number of Vietnamese enterprises working with Belarusian producers. The partners discussed prospects for further cooperation.

“I am convinced that we have the potential to expand cooperation in virtually all key areas,” Aleksandr Volfovich emphasized.

He invited his Vietnamese colleagues to take part in the 3rd International Security Industry Exhibition “National Security. Belarus 2026”, which will be held under the auspices of the State Secretariat of the Security Council. The Vietnamese side received the invitation with interest.
