Stamp marking anniversary of Belarus-Pakistan diplomatic relations launched in Minsk

MINSK, 4 March (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yevgeny Shestakov attended an official first-day-of-issue dedication ceremony for the postal stamp marking the 30th anniversary of Belarus-Pakistan diplomatic relations on 4 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The postal project depicting the architectural and sculptural complex Minsk - Hero-City (Minsk, Belarus) and Minar-e-Pakistan (Lahore, Pakistan) was developed by the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus and the publishing center Marka of Belpochta together with the Belarusian Embassy in Pakistan.

The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Pakistan Sajjad Haider Khan and Belarusian Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic Anna Ryabova.

In his welcoming speech, Yevgeny Shestakov underlined the traditionally friendly and constructive nature of the relations between Belarus and Pakistan, praised the results of joint work in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian fields, as well as within international organizations that have been achieved over the past three decades.

The parties underscored a significant potential for further dynamic continuation of the Belarusian-Pakistani dialogue and bringing the bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.
