MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov will visit the Federative Republic of Brazil on 6-7 July to participate in the BRICS summit upon the instruction of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It will be the first time Belarus will take part in a BRICS high-level event after receiving the partner status in the organization in January 2025.
The head of the Belarusian delegation will speak at extended meetings that will be attended by the leaders of the BRICS member states and will meet with the foreign ministers of the BRICS nations.
“Special attention will be paid to global cooperation in healthcare, climate change, and artificial intelligence that are defined as the priorities of Brazil’s BRICS presidency,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.
