MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich took part in the Responsible Business Forum organized by the UN Global Compact Network in Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The deputy minister delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the National Coordinator for the Sustainable Development Goals in Belarus to the forum, drawing special attention to the importance of public-private partnerships to solve social and economic issues of society and called for the intensification of the participation of business in the national architecture for the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
Launched in 2000, the United Nations Global Compact aims to encourage companies to align their strategies and operations in accordance with the Ten Universal Principles in the field of human rights, labor relations, environment, anti-corruption, and take strategic actions to advance broader societal goals, such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
