MINSK, 19 July (BelTA) – President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen should go to prison for destroying the European economy, Polish MEP Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik said at a plenary session dedicated to the re-election of the president of the European Commission, BelTA learned from the broadcast of the session of the European legislative body.

“Mrs. Ursula! It’s time to tell you right in your face what the majority of Europeans think of you. Electing you as president of the European Commission for the first time was a huge mistake, and many still have a bitter aftertaste of this decision,” said the Polish MP.

Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik blamed Ursula von der Leyen for destroying the European economy, for the poverty of Europeans and the tragedies associated with illegal migration.

In particular, Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik believes that Ursula von der Leyen’s efforts to promote the migration pact mean that millions of women and children across Europe are not safe.

“I address you as woman to woman, as mother to mother. Aren’t you ashamed to promote the migration pact that leads to the situation when millions of mothers and children in Europe do not feel safe on the streets of their own cities?” she asked turning to Ursula von der Leyen.

The Polish MP said that Ursula von der Leyen is personally responsible for every incidence of violence, every attack caused by the influx of illegal migrants. “It is you who invite these people to Europe! For what you are doing, you should go to prison, not the European Commission!” said the MEP.

According to her, Ursula von der Leyen’s new tenure as president of the European Commission will entail a further decline of the European Union. “This is a disgrace to the entire union of sovereign European states,” she said.

A reminder, Ursula von der Leyen was re-elected president of the European Commission for another five years on 18 July.
