MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) - Palestine plans to develop relations with Belarus in all the areas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine to Belarus Ahmed Mohammed Al-Madbuh told the media on 30 September, BelTA has learned.
“We have grand plans. We believe that Belarus is a friendly country. Therefore, we plan to develop relations with it in all the areas, including political, economic and cultural sectors,” Ahmed Mohammed Al-Madbuh said.
According to the diplomat, special attention will be paid to business interaction. “We hope to continue strengthening our relations. We have two major companies operating in Belarus. We are going to invite businessmen from Palestine to a general meeting with businessmen from Belarus and see what aspects of the economy we can further develop,” the ambassador added.
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, when receiving credentials from foreign ambassadors on 30 September, said that the long friendly ties with Palestine were based on a solid foundation of partnership and constructive cooperation in various sectors.
“We are interested in continuing an active and fruitful dialogue and in establishing practical cooperation,” the head of state said.
