MINSK, 5 January (BelTA) – It is with great concern that Belarus is watching the developments in Kazakhstan, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Anatoly Glaz told BelTA.
“We cannot stay indifferent to what is happening in Kazakhstan these days. This country is our ally, and we have been following the situation there with deep concern. For us the events look familiar, both in content and form. We can see with the naked eye what mechanisms and techniques are used to trigger the unrest there,” said Anatoly Glaz.
“It is important to get the situation stabilized and the unrest stopped. We hope that the Kazakhstani leadership will be able to do it. History has convincingly proved that coups and revolutions lead to nothing good,” the spokesman added.
