MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – At a meeting with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Minsk, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev remarked on the warm welcome he received upon arrival, BelTA has learned.

“From the moment I stepped off the plane, I felt the warmth of the Belarusian people, their kindness, respectability, and deep cultural reverence for their history,” he said.

Adylbek Kasymaliev said that before his flight to Belarus, he met with President Sadyr Japarov. “He conveyed his best regards to you and strongly endorsed my official visit to Belarus,” the prime minister said.
Adylbek Kasymaliev also revealed a personal connection to Belarus, noting his first trip to Minsk was in 1983 while he was a student of the Leningrad Institute of Finance and Economics and his wife studied at the Leningrad Institute of Film Engineers.

“A fascinating combination,” remarked Aleksandr Lukashenko. “A filmmaker and a financier.”
