FM: Belarus will support Myanmar's engagement with international organizations

MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) - Belarus will support the development of Myanmar's cooperation with international organizations, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov told the media following the second session of the joint Belarus-Myanmar committee on trade and economic cooperation, BelTA has learned.

“In its capacity as the current chair of the EAEU, a member of the SCO, and a partner of BRICS, Belarus will provide comprehensive support for the development of Myanmar's cooperation with these international organizations,”  Maxim Ryzhenkov said.

The minister emphasized that both Belarus and Myanmar are interested in strengthening stability and security both in their respective regions and throughout the world. “We have the political will of our nations' leaders to deepen cooperation between our people, a broad agenda for interaction, and promising joint projects. We will strive to implement them as widely as possible. I am confident we will succeed,” Maxim Ryzhenkov concluded.
