MINSK, 27 June (BelTA) – Press Secretary of the Belarusian president Natalya Eismont spoke about the approaches that Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko applied to the delivery of the EAEU summit in Minsk on the air of the First News TV Channel, BelTA has learned.
Natalya Eismont emphasized that the host party ensures two key components. The first is the substantive aspect, which the head of state talked about during a meeting to discuss the preparations for the forum. “We do not hold meetings for the sake of appearance. Belarus is very results-oriented. We work towards results. We discuss real issues,” the press secretary remarked.
As for the organizational aspect, she noted that everything was done to deliver a high-quality event. “There are no minor details when it comes to hosting thousands of guests. Our image and reputation are at stake,” Natalya Eismont said. “We must do our utmost to show our guests Belarusian hospitality, assistance, and support at every stage. Everything must be top-notch. This is our guiding principle. We are 100% ready.”
She also touched on the EAEU 2.0 concept that the Belarusian president outlined during his speech at the Eurasian Economic Forum: “The president said that the union must set new ambitious objectives and goals and achieve them. I am confident that this is the path ahead for all of us and for the union itself.”
Natalya Eismont stressed that alongside a number of issues that naturally exist within the EAEU, there are also a lot of significant achievements, which were discussed in detail at the forum in Minsk. “EAEU 2.0 represents an enormous and profound potential, and it seems that this potential will be harnessed soon. This is the message our president emphasized,” the press secretary stated. “We are chairing the union this year. This is our vision of the union. We must move forward quickly. During our presidency, we expect to intensify all these processes. EAEU 2.0 is a major strategic objective, and I believe we are on the right path.”
