Ambassador Dmitry Krutoi
MOSCOW, 2 April (BelTA) - The importance of the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia keeps growing every year, Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi told the media on 2 April, BelTA has learned.
“We are witnessing an increasing number of contacts between people, between the youth, restoring ties that once were lost,” Dmitry Krutoi said.
In his words, Belarusian-Russian cooperation is expanding every year. “We have an increasing number of projects. We trust each other more and more every year,” he said.
“Today, we are together resisting both sanctions pressure and geopolitical tensions that exist on our continent. We will cope with everything. We are strong, we have proved it to everyone. We have not fallen, we have not been torn apart, we have not been destroyed by some social upheavals. They failed to separate us,” the diplomat stated.
“Our cooperation is strong. Our leaders are like brothers, setting the tone for our entire agenda. Our governments have developed great plans, and our task is to fulfill them,” Dmitry Krutoi stressed.
“Work at the regional level has become a special embellishment of our relations. Belarusians are discovering new cities, new Russian regions - both for tourist purposes and business missions. Everything will work out for us. I believe that within three to five years this date will become a national holiday,” the ambassador added.
