MINSK, 5 April (BelTA) – Belarus’ Permanent Mission to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has issued a statement, BelTA informs citing the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“In view of the European Union’s plans to introduce new restrictions on free trade in food, animal feed and raw materials for their production, the Republic of Belarus appealed to member states of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to condemn the selfish and irresponsible policy of sanctions by the EU,” the statement reads.
Belarus also proposed to discuss this issue at the next meeting of the FAO Council.
