MINSK, 4 January (BelTA) – In line with the Council of Ministers’ Resolution No. 977 as of 29 December 2023, Belarus will open a consulate general in Russia’s Rostov-on-Don by 1 July 2024. The document was officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA has learned.
The document also provides for the closure of the branch of the Belarusian Embassy in Rostov-on-Don no later than 1 July 2024.
The Finance Ministry was instructed to finance the opening and maintaining the consulate general using the funds provided to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the central budget to open and run diplomatic missions and consular offices of Belarus abroad. The closing of the embassy branch will be financed by the funds allocated for the maintenance of this institution.
The decision came into force on the day of its official publication.
