MINSK, 29 August (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Belarus to Tajikistan Viktor Denisenko met with First Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of Representatives of the Republic of Tajikistan, Head of the Belarus-Tajik parliamentary friendship and cooperation group Shermuhammad Shohiyon, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
The meeting reviewed the state and prospects of development of Belarusian-Tajik inter-parliamentary cooperation.
Shermuhammad Shohiyon confirmed the interest of the Tajik parliament in comprehensively enhancing interaction with Belarusian colleagues.
The parties also discussed the organization of joint events, including the next meeting of the inter-parliamentary friendship group in Minsk in 2025.
