Belarus, Tajikistan to deepen dialogue between foreign ministries, parliaments

MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavel Utyupin and Tajikistan’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Farrukh Sharifzoda held another round of Belarus-Tajikistan ministerial consultations in Dushanbe on 17 September, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting discussed steps to further advance bilateral cooperation, including through the foreign ministries of Belarus and Tajikistan.

That same day, Pavel Utyupin met with Tajikistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin. During the talks, the parties emphasized the traditionally friendly nature of relations between Belarus and Tajikistan, expressed interest in developing inter‑parliamentary dialogue both bilaterally and on international platforms, and reviewed the schedule of upcoming highest‑level and high-level contacts.
