Belarus prepared to cooperate with UN within it programs on human settlements, environment

MINSK, 15 September (BelTA) – Belarusian Ambassador to Kenya Dmitry Krasovsky presented credentials as the Permanent Representative of Belarus to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) to UN Under-Secretary General and the Director General of the United Nations Office at Nairobi Zainab Hawa Bangura, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the conversation, the Belarusian diplomat confirmed Belarus' commitment to the principles of sustainable development, environmental protection, and urbanization in line with the United Nations 2030 Agenda. Ambassador Dmitry Krasovsky also emphasized Belarus' readiness to actively cooperate with UNEP, UN-Habitat, and member states to advance global goals in environmental protection and sustainable urban development through a multilateral approach.
