
MINSK, 29 August (BelTA) – State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Belarus Batsukh Bayarsaikhan on 29 August, BelTA learned from the State Secretariat of the Security Council.
During the meeting the parties discussed topical matters concerning interstate interaction as well as prospects of bilateral cooperation in efforts to ensure the security of the two countries.
The parties also mentioned the importance of preserving historical memory, particularly in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Mongolia’s northeastern territories by Soviet and Mongolian troops.
Apart from that, the parties discussed the forthcoming events on the occasion of the celebrations. The events will be geared towards stepping up the level of interaction between the countries.
