MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – Belarus is interested in oil deliveries from Kazakhstan and in resuming air service between the two countries. Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko made the statement as he met with Kazakhstan Prime Minister Askar Mamin, BelTA has learned.
Roman Golovchenko suggested discussing prospects of signing an agreement between the governments of Belarus and Kazakhstan on cooperation in deliveries of oil and oil products. “I would like to know Kazakhstan's stance. If you are interested in it, we are ready to work on it. If for some reason the matter needs to be postponed or is not interesting for the Kazakh side, we are also ready to discuss this decision in order to bring clarity with regard to next year's trade projections,” he said.
Roman Golovchenko also mentioned the resumption of regular flights between Belarus and Kazakhstan. “The pandemic is becoming weaker. A positive decision on resuming air service will allow raising the intensity and quality of interaction between businesses. All our proposals have been sent to Kazakhstan,” he noted.
