TIANJIN, 30 August (BelTA) – Belarus is grateful to China for the readiness to share state-of-the-art technologies. Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov made the statement after visiting TBEA Company’s premises in Tianjin. TBEA is one of China’s largest manufacturers of power engineering equipment, BelTA has learned.
Maxim Ryzhenkov said: “Cooperation with China develops not simply dynamically but at an accelerated pace. We are very grateful to the Chinese side for the readiness to share cutting-edge technologies, R&D products, and software with us. We have been to China’s leading power engineering enterprise. What they do in their own country is simply outer space.”

In his words, the arrival of this kind of technologies in Belarus according to the agreement the parties have reached will allow reducing power transmission losses, optimizing electricity utilization, setting up new enterprises among other things. Ultimately it will help realize the goals and tasks the development of Belarus’ economy requires. “It is one of the examples where we can successfully cooperate with China. Today’s China has huge experience and great accomplishments in practically all areas of its development. China is absolutely autonomous from European and American technologies. It allows developing its own economy in a sovereign manner. And we are interested in that as well,” Maxim Ryzhenkov remarked.
The minister stressed that genuinely cordial relations between the leaders of Belarus and China represent a guarantee of political support for such cooperation and a guarantee that the parties will be able to realize the boldest concepts.

Maxim Ryzhenkov remarked that Belarus desperately needs technologies from China considering the European Union’s refusal to cooperate in this field. “I’d like to say that what China does today is way more serious and forward-looking in many areas than what Europe and America have,” the Belarusian minister of foreign affairs said. “It is a time of opportunities for attracting these technologies, for retooling our economy in China’s image. We see how China develops and what accomplishments it secures. It is a magnificent example we should follow.”

The minister also mentioned the Chinese concept for building a community with a shared future for mankind: “It is kind of a political project that stipulates taking into account interests of every state that is a genuine friend with China today in building a new architecture of international economy and international politics.”
