Belarus, Bangladesh discuss political, economic cooperation

MINSK, 11 March (BelTA) - The fifth round of Belarusian-Bangladeshi political consultations took place in the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka within the framework of Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yevgeny Shestakov, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The parties made a special emphasis on the intensification of political, trade and economic cooperation, expansion of the legal framework of bilateral relations and exchange of business visits. The parties reached agreements on the priority steps to enhance the dialogue between Minsk and Dhaka in various areas and ways of its further development, including the second meeting of the Belarusian-Bangladeshi Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, as well as mutual visits at various levels,” the press service of the ministry said.

The parties considered a wide range of issues of Belarusian-Bangladeshi relations, including interaction in science and technology, education, culture and tourism, as well as cooperation in international organizations. The diplomats exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and global agenda.
