MINSK, 11 January (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the People's Republic of China Yuri Senko has presented copies of his credentials to Director-General of the Protocol Department of China's Foreign Ministry Hong Lei, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Beijing.
“The parties discussed the main areas of Belarus-China cooperation and ways to advance it to a brand-new level. Hong Lei reaffirmed China's commitment to supporting Belarus, pointed to the high level of personal relations between Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, which contributes to the strengthening of comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
The head of the Protocol Department spoke highly of Belarus' role in the implementation of the Belt and Road initiative, the development of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone. He also praised the effective anti-epidemic cooperation between the two countries and mutual readiness to provide the necessary assistance.
