Half of this winter has already passed. Sunny days when people can get a bit of vitamin D are few and far between. Residents of Belarus’ northern region where weather is coldest desperately need to enrich their diet with useful substances and microelements, plenty of which can be found in fresh vegetables and fruits. Shoppers can find a lot of various products full of vitamins in stores but everyone knows that locally grown foods are better than imports. Raisa Krupatina, head of the state-run greenhouse farming enterprise Rudakovo, told BelTA reporters why vegetables, which are grown in Vitebsk District, enjoy steady demand and where the enterprise’s products can be bought.
