Iran's Treasury of National Jewels re-opens to public

TEHRAN, 12 June (BelTA - IRNA) - The Treasury of National Jewels of Iran, home to the country's most dazzling gemstones and jewelry, has reopened its doors to the public.

The treasury had been closed for renovations and maintenance work, but resumed its normal operating schedule on Monday for the general public to view the collection, IRNA reports.

Housed within the Central Bank of Iran, the Treasury of National Jewels was constructed in the mid-1950s and officially opened in 1960, coinciding with the establishment of the Central Bank.
