ISTANBUL, 24 October (BelTA - Anadolu) - The 13th Bosphorus Film
Festival, organized by the Bosphorus Culture and Arts Foundation with
the support of Türkiye’s Culture and Tourism Ministry, will be held from
Nov. 7 to 14, showcasing 31 short and documentary films.
This year’s National Short Fiction Competition features a diverse selection of titles, including "Dreamt by Another" by Vikki Bardot, "Making a Crane Bird" by Nevzat Dogan, "Defne" by Hamdi Furkan Yildirim, "Eudaimonia" by Gizem Ibak, "A Three Dog Night" by Omer Yavuzoglu, "Mumeyyiz" by Turgut Kanal, "Sakin Soyleme" by Ezgi Temel, and "Susmuslar Esigi" by Emel Bulut, "Hatirlanacak Ne Var?" by Oguz Akyol, "Kesik Kulak" by İsmail Hakki Kocak.
In the International Short Fiction Competition, audiences will have the chance to discover "Attitude" and "Thread" from Iran, "Comunque Bene" from Italy, "Don’t You Dare" from Russia, "Ne Me Quitte Pas" and "Video Store 2001" from Spain, "Pet-Extermination" from Norway, "There Will Come Soft Rains" from the United Kingdom, and "We Had Fun" and "Ya Hanouni" by Linda Lo from France.
The Documentary Competition will showcase "Tree Man" by Mehmet Ali Poyraz, "In the Shade of the Poplar Tree" directed by Kenan Diler, "Mukaddes" by Lutfi Oz, "Nena Sena" by Dino Omerovic, "Nilgun" by Tolga Oskar, "Free Words: A Poet from Gaza" by Abdullah Harun Ilhan, "The Wedding of the Pir’s" by Yalcin Ciftci, "Sessiz Cizgiler" by Caner Kaldı, "Tanistigima Memnun Oldum" by Gunes Kazdal and Jehan Barbur, "Back to the Land" by Kerem Kurtulus, and "Ustad Mehmed: Siyah Kalem" by Murat K. Toy and Selin Aktas - all competing for the festival’s top honor.
