VITEBSK, 21 August (BelTA) – Two new woodworking lines have reached the designed output capacity in the Vitebsk state forestry industry group, BelTA has learned.
The equipment was commissioned by the Beshenkovichi forestry enterprise and the Shumilino forestry enterprise in July. The former commissioned a high-performance line from Mebor Company for processing round wood 45-110cm in diameter. With the output capacity of 900m3 of timber per month, the line can process soft wood and hard wood. It is particularly important for the Beshenkovichi forestry enterprise because hard wood trees are prevalent in its territory. The Shumilino forestry enterprise commissioned a line from Walter Company. Thanks to the new equipment the merchandise output has tripled to 600m3 of timber per month. The equipment is primarily used to process soft round wood 14-25cm in diameter.
Contracts to export merchandise made by both forestry enterprises have been signed already, improving their financial performance.
The Vitebsk state forestry industry group includes 17 timber mills and one logging camp. In 2019 the enterprise considerably renewed and upgraded the available equipment. In particular, new sawing lines were commissioned in the Bogushevsk, Ushachi, and Tolochin forestry enterprises. Disbarking equipment was installed in eight forestry enterprises.
