TASHKENT, 7 February (BelTA) – Uzbekistan and Belarus have everything in place to increase trade up to $1 billion, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev told the media during the 2nd Forum of Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan in Tashkent, BelTA has learned.
The bilateral trade exceeded $565 million in 2023. However, according to Jamshid Khodjaev, this is not the limit. “My colleagues and I have concluded that it is absolutely possible to increase trade up to $1 billion,” he said.
Belarus and Uzbekistan will pay special attention to cooperation in agro-industrial complex and light industry, the deputy prime minister added.
