SAMARKAND, 16 September (BelTA) – Raising investments, the development of traditional and innovative Chinese medicine and pharmaceutics have been identified as the driving force of future development of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, BelTA learned from the Belarus-China joint declaration on establishing all-weather and all-round strategic partnership.
Belarus and China intend to focus efforts on developing the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone as an international industrial cluster and a satellite city of Minsk.
China will continue providing support to major manufacturing and high-tech Chinese companies willing to join the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone as resident companies. China will also actively realize a joint project, which envisages the construction of a multimodal railway terminal.
Key priorities also include R&D cooperation and interaction in the sphere of information and communications technologies, in particular, in the area of joint research and development of artificial intelligence technologies and 5G data transmission networks.
Belarus and China stand ready to advance cooperation within the framework of the digital Silk Road on the basis of the relevant pilot regions, industrial clusters and parks of China and Belarus in the area of high technologies such as digital economy and trade, artificial intelligence, big data, digital government, and blockchain technology.
Belarus and China intend to intensify scientific and technical cooperation, expand practical interaction between scientific research institutions, higher education institutions and enterprises. The two countries intend to encourage the creation of platforms as joint centers for applied scientific research and labs. Belarus and China are ready to increase funding for joint R&D projects, expand the commercialization of innovative R&D products and their assimilation into the manufacturing industry.
