MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) - Belarus has economic potential and many investment opportunities, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Belarus Ibrahim Salim Mohamed Al Musharrakh said at an event to mark the 53rd National Day of the UAE, BelTA has learned.
“The tangible development of relations between our countries at the political level is manifested in high-level meetings that reflect the strong friendship uniting the Emirati and Belarusian peoples and are characterized by mutual respect and common interests due to close cooperation between the political leaders of both countries. The leaders of the two countries hold regular meetings. Ministerial meetings, mutual visits of official delegations take place on a regular basis as well,” the UAE ambassador to Belarus said.
“Economically, the UAE is Belarus' first and most important partner in the Middle East and North Africa. The UAE and the Republic of Belarus are striving to increase mutual trade. A number of economic agreements have been signed between the two countries to promote trade and open markets. The trade in non-oil goods between the two countries in 2023 increased five times compared to 2022,” the head of the diplomatic mission added.
