Russia's Primorye Territory governor: Belarusian products are known for their quality

MINSK, 4 June (BelTA) – Belarusian food products and equipment are known for their high quality, Governor of Russia's Primorye Territory Oleg Kozhemyako said as he met with Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova on 3 June, BelTA has learned.

“We are interested in your food products as they have a high quality and are popular among Primorye Territory residents. We also want to buy agricultural machinery, utility vehicles, and road equipment,” Oleg Kozhemyako said. “Our exports have also increased, they are 3.5 times up this year. We sell boric acid to your manufacturers. We also supply fish and seafood – their sales are on the rise. We are currently considering supplies of fish meal for making starter feed.”

According to him, this cooperation is mutually beneficial. “We have good dynamics in the manufacturing sector, in the supply of agricultural products,” the governor noted. “It has been gratifying to see so many exhibitors from Amur Oblast, Sakhalin and Primorye Territory at the Belagro exhibition today. The equipment on display was really worth seeing, today we have been shown new powerful tractors. This is a very serious breakthrough, a huge leap forward in terms of import substitution.”

“Primorye Territory residents are connected with Belarus historically and have warm regard for your republic. We also implement good social programs. In the run-up to the 80th anniversary of the Victory, our schoolchildren visited Buinichi Field, Khatyn, Brest Fortress, and the Museum of the Great Patriotic War History. We held a teleconference between the Vladivostok Fortress and the Brest Fortress. We regularly hold children's competitions, where we invite children from the Republic of Belarus. About 100 people always come. We do it to build friendships between our young people. Our guys, 30 people, study at your forestry institute and we will keep it up. Today we have also discussed the possibility of sending our people here to study hunting business. Such an exchange yields good results, because there are things we can learn from the Republic of Belarus. We are implementing the practices that were tested in Belarus, and this gives certain results,” Oleg Kozhemyako remarked.
