Retail trade up 0.7% in Belarus in January-September 2021

MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – In January-September 2021, retail trade totaled Br43.6 billion, or 0.7% as against the same period of 2020 in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee of Belarus.

Wholesale trade amounted to Br94.6 billion, or 6.5% as against January-September 2020.

Over this period, one-day per capita retail sales were estimated at Br17, vs. Br15.3 in January-September 2020.

Retail trade outlets accounted for 92.5% of retail trade. In January-September 2021, they reported Br40.3 billion in retail trade volume, up 1.5% over the same period of last year in comparable prices.

In January-September 2021, the turnover of the public catering industry totaled Br2.3 billion, up 16.5% over the same period of last year in comparable prices.
