PM: Belarus, Russia’s Bashkortostan need to reach new milestones in industrial cooperation

MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia’s Bashkortostan need to reach new milestones in industrial cooperation, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said at the Belarus-Bashkortostan Business Forum, BelTA has learned.

According to the prime minister, there are no difficulties in the implementation of bilateral projects with Bashkortostan. “We have reached a productive rhythm in our work in an absolutely natural way. There is a large number of activities, ideas that need to be kept in sight. It is important not only to control how the current agreements are implemented, but also to constantly generate new ones and send appropriate messages to members of the governments to work them out and translate them into practice. We hold meetings when conditions and necessity arise for this. If some things do not work out, we put them aside and work on new initiatives,” Roman Golovchenko said.

“The goal is set. We need to reach $1 billion in mutual trade. We need to generate new joint projects every six months or a year. We will expand the traditional trade exchange. The most important thing for us is to reach new milestones in industrial cooperation. This is a priority for our country,” he said.
