Pakistan seeks to strengthen cooperation with Belarusian companies

MINSK, 10 April (BelTA) – Pakistan is keen to enhance cooperation with Belarusian companies, Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan said on the sidelines of the Belarus-Pakistan Business Forum that is running in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

"The Pakistani prime minister's visit to Belarus has been prepared for several months. In November 2024, we had the honor to host the president of Belarus in Pakistan. In February 2025, Belarus played host to meeting between our working groups. We are interested in fostering ties with Belarusian companies. Over the past six months, we held numerous meetings, which shows mutual interest in developing economic relations in trade, manufacturing and other industries," Jam Kamal Khan emphasized.

During the previous meeting of working groups, the parties outlined areas for further cooperation: the production of buses, trucks and tractors, trade, the supply of heavy-duty dump trucks, agricultural technology and education. "The initiatives agreed upon at the working group meeting will lead to positive outcomes," the federal minister said.

The business forum brings together over 200 companies from Belarus and Pakistan. It is planned to hold B2B meetings between Belarusian and Pakistani companies of various industries.

The forum is organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with Pakistan’s Trade Development Authority.
