MINSK, 7 March (BelTA) – Myanmar would like to purchase Belarus-made milk powder and baby food, Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Yuri Gorlov told journalists on the sidelines of the visit of Chairman of the State Administrative Council, Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing to Belarus, BelTA has learned.

“We closely cooperate with Myanmar in agriculture. Our delegations visited Myanmar last year and reached agreements on the supply of dairy products. In particular, now, during the visit to our country, agreements were struck to supply 1,000 tonnes of milk powder made by our enterprises in 2025,” Yuri Gorlov said.

According to him, Myanmar is also interested in purchasing Belarusian baby food. Belarus is ready to offer other types of products as well. “We are ready to cooperate on everything that is of interest to our counterparts, up to and including personnel training,” the minister added.

Yuri Gorlov considers the Myanmar market to be very promising, given that this country has a population of over 50 million people.

“We need to build constructive cooperation and not stop at where we are now,” he is convinced.
