MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – A new resident company SP ZAO MAZ-MAN has been registered in the free economic zone (FEZ) Minsk as a manufacturer of modern heavy-duty European automobiles for regional and international transportation, as a manufacturer of construction machines and special machines, representatives of the free economic zone Minsk told BelTA.

The relevant agreement was signed by the head of the FEZ Minsk administration Anatoly Kalinin and the company’s Director Aleksandr Kartynnik.

In the free economic zone Minsk the company will set up a modern high-tech enterprise to make truck cabs and electric trucks with the fully loaded weight of 8 tonnes, which meet world trends in the fields of environmental friendliness and energy efficiency.

The growing demand for environmentally friendly trucks, particularly for urban transportation and regional transportation, in combination with a shortage of domestic producers in the region enables favorable conditions for launching new products on the markets of Russia and other Eurasian Economic Union countries.

The declared volume of fixed-capital investments exceeds Br1.8 million. There are plans to create 40 new jobs as part of the project.
